type 97 with ar mag release???

I just got a type 97 from bullseyelondon (great people) and was wondering if a ar mag release would work they look the same but I do not have a ar to be sure

Has any one done this or can it even be done

Soon after they first showed up, someone here cooked up his own mag release.
I should look for it, as I want to do likewise.

Did you finally get yer T97 TooTall?
You might get used to the factory mag release, I kinda liked it - just hug the mag with your hand, very fast.

I just picked up a right side mag release from SRC Gunworks in Saskatchewan. Love it. no modification to the firearm, installed in seconds. Also picked up a charging handle from them as well. great quality products. Check them out.
