Fat chance mate... Canada Ammo already tried to bring some in and the RCMP snatched them. There are several threads about this. Try doing a search in some of the other forums for more info.
"At least in the future, when the long gun registry is gone, if a gun is non-restricted and then reclassified prohibited it will be quite impossible to hunt down people and steal their firearms."
You have to be kidding right ?![]()
NOPE!!!!! Fool us once when we stood by and allowed registration=confiscation. When registration is gone, NO ONE will ever register again when they try to bring it back.
Many of the provinces will exercise their constitution power to regulate property and we'll have 10 provincial registries instead of one national one.

Did u never read the thread about there planned "backdoor" registry did you?
This is laughable. I can't see how provincial politicians could possibly "re-sell" the registry concept to their constituents when the program has been a failure on a national level while using unlimited sums of federal funds in the process.
Sadly, I can see Ontario and Quebec favoring this approach, however, I can't see the populace wanting to pay for it with inevitable tax increases.
I can tell you that Nova Scotia wouldn't be a willing participant to it.
I sure hope the Canadian government reimburses Canada Ammo and all the people who purchased a Type 97.
Their mistake = they should reimburse.

Any provincial party that would try that in Manitoba would be out of power the next election. I would think Alberta and Saskatchewan would be the same.

So ontarians just buy the guns in Alberta. Problem solved
