Just one my way back from the excellent 2017 Redneck 3Gun in Lone Butte, and I'm happy to report my F12 ran GREAT!! Ate Challenger 7.5 shotshells and S and B slugs with zero issues. Very soft shooting, and follow-up shots were quick. Took the flying clays easily too!

Only real hiccup was my EoTech fell off on one stage but that's not the fault of the Typhoon!!

Another shooter on my squad was running a Derya Mk12, and it is almost the same gun. She had a few more issues with the very dusty conditions. I think it's because the Derya has an open slot on the left side of the receiver to allow for the left side charging handle. They also have slots cut in their mags, maybe to see how many rounds are loaded. This also seemed to contribute to mag problems in the dust.

Overall I was VERY happy with my Typhoon, and look forward to more shotgunning with it!! I hope to post some vids in the next few days.

I didn't care for the reversible CH, and it was easier to get mags.

I just had a great time at the Redneck 3 Gun, so I believe it is a very viable option. The mags and AR controls allowed me to at least try to keep up with the wizards who can quad load their tricked out Versamaxes!!

It garnered a fair degree of interest based on it's functioning well.

Just note mine is a regular Typhoon, not the Maxi. Apparently they're not running as smoothly.

Excellent to hear. I'm also pleased to hear the lighter loads worked. Starting on the 15th, I'll be up at camp with mine so I'll see what it can do, and how it works. So far, it's been cycling snap caps just fine. I managed to grab an additional magazine for it which feels much tighter than my other two. Perhaps indeed use loosens them up a bit.

Speaking of mags, here's some internet info, so take it with a grain of salt. My buddy with the Derya found a thread on the gun owners of canada website where Spectre Arms posted that the 5-round mags are interchangeable between the MK12 & the F12. Anyone confirm or deny this? However, given Eagle's input, I'd stick with the F12 mags, anyways.

Indeed, we'd all like drum magazines, but I recieved an e-mail from Osman at Typhoon Industries this morning. His e-mail said that they will not be importing any drum magazines for the Typhoon to North America "because it is illegal" (his words). I don't think he misunderstood my question, because I specifically asked "Canada or the United States".

Only illegal if not pinned to 5 rounds. Once pinned they may look cooler but they are just bigger, heavier and bulkier so not really worth spending extra money on (well, maybe buy one for pictures :p )

I'd appreciate the 20 rounders for competing in the US... I spoke to Typhoon Defence as well, and they said they weren't shipping to the US yet as they're awaiting State Department approval.

I compared mags with the Derya Mk12 owner at the 3 gun... they are VERY close, but didn't quite interchange. Some creative filing might have fixed the issues, but we couldn't be bothered to spend a lot of time comparing.

Glad to hear it functioned well for you!! Also, thank you for letting me try it out when we were at the range, I honestly think it is one of the best looking shotguns I have ever seen, good to know it's not just pretty, lol
