Looking into picking up a new 12 gauge shot gun soon around the $2000 mark and looking for advice on what i should be looking at or staying away from.
Generally most of the shooting I will be doing is clay but will eventually get into hunting.

Played around with my friends u/o browning citori gts I would consider an u/o based on that there is no issue with jamming.
I like semi auto for the fact of not having to reload as frequently.

Guns I am currently looking at.

Remington Vera Max Waterfowl edition - Informed that they are being manufactured in china now… But have read good reviews ( Found a used one for $1500 but seems like he is trying to get full price out of it considering they are $1500 new not including taxes.

Benelli Vinci - But have read that are a bit of a pain for take down and cleaning.

Browning - semi or u/o have not done allot of research yet.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Beretta a400 is the top notch semi now and with that budget that is what I would buy. If your budget was 1000 I would recommend a sx3. I not crazy about benelli or remington but brown and beretta make some nice gas guns. Really depends what fits you best.

I have been reading up allot on each gun lots of positive feeb back on all of them but don't know if its just smoke from the manufacturer. Its a fairly large purchase so not wanting to take the wrong step.

You should have bought the Fabarm XLR5 Velocity from The Shooting Edge. With the 30% off sale on Fabarm products it would have brought the price down to right around $2000 for one of the best semi autos out there in my humble opinion. Having an adjustable comb, trigger, rib, and weight ratio while still keeping it looking mighty ###y make it a super attractive shotgun.

I am looking into getting involved with a club. As of right now its a bunch of friends going out and hand throwing until we pool some money together for a good mechanical thrower.

Skip the mechanical thrower and join a club. Skeet or sporting clays are much more challenging than a single mechanical thrower.

Buy an sx3 and save the rest of your money for hunting stuff. Trap guns are nice but how about when plan to go hunting. Try dragging a nice wood semi trap gun on the duck blinds through the deep stuff. Then you will wonder why you bought a trap gun for. 3 inch sx3 can be found for 1000.

The Beretta auto loaders ( 391's and more recently the A-400's) have been dominating the clay target sports games by a large margin for a number of years now, much like the Remington 1100's did back in the 60's and 70's. And yes, there are a number of decent other makes out there ... Benelli, Winchester and Browning among them.

In your budget range, I'd opt for either a new A-400 (without the gimmicks) or a used, but otherwise well taken care of Browning Citori ( there are some good deals out there on used 425/525/625 Sporters) or a Beretta "68" series Sporter. If you can find one with the adjustable comb, you're off to the races. I'd look for a 30" or 32" O/U.

I will be another vote for an SX3. I have one and absolutely love it. I have used my friends Citori for a round of skeet and flat out did not like it. To be honest it felt odd and uncomfortabe. After that round i felt right at home with my SX3. Mind you, YMMV.

In the end you will have to do as I did. Go to a store and shoulder everything they have. One of them will "speak"to you.

Whole sale sports in Naniamo has a Beretta a400 Xcel in stock didn't shoulder it though. May have to take another trip up Island to check it out. A400 extreme looks like a slick gun with the New shock technology
But so far the consensus I'm getting is either a Beretta A400 or a Winchester SX3 For Semi Auto.
