Uberti 1866 sporting rifle

I have a uberti 66 carbine in 22lr.I had to replace the extractor on it ,but after I did it works like a hotdam and shoots darn good as well.I also have a uberti 73 carbine in 22lr , a Uberti 73 1 of 1000 sorting rifle in 44/40 and a new Uberti 76 in 45/60(which I am selling to fund a new purchase)All are great guns and are of good quailty.

I bought one of the 66 Uberti Carbines (shorter round barrel) chambered in the 38 Special about 7-8 years ago???
I Shot it..........alot. :)
I personnally put about 10,000 rounds through it at various Cowboy matches.
It proved to be extremely reliable and was very well made. The Uberti rifles reek of excellent craftsmanship.

Only thing I ever replaced was the cartridge stop....it's welded(sodered) to the back of the loading gate(as per the orginals) Mine let go after about 4-5000 rounds....jammed up real good when the shells from the tube dumped back into the action:p

Changed it myself with a replacement part from Uberti (14 bucks) and it's ran fine since.

It shot very well (better then any 94 Marlin I used) as have most other 66's I've seen. A Friends 66 Rifle in 44-40 literally shoots a ragged hole from a rest at a 100 meters.......that's with BP loads too;)

I since parted with it to a Friend(I'm stupid) and it continues to give him the same outstanding service it gave me.

Outstanding rifles when set up right ! Very smooth actions.
You can't beat the Ol toggles
