Been looking at these two rifles. Does anyone have experience with either or both? I know Beretta is made at the Uberti factory. Is there a lot of difference in quality between them? Who sells these in Canada?

I think that P&D might have a beretta 1873, I'm fairly sure that is where i saw it.

EDIT - I was wrong it was Ellwood and it was a 1873 Beretta Stampede 45LC revolver.

Good luck with the search

Shooters Choice "The Gun Room" for Uberti have the best pricing I found. The Barretta I don't really know. Cimmarron, EMF and USFA are distributed by Del Strazza strazza@xplornet.com, real nice man to deal with. I think he may have cimmarron available right now. By the way all these 1873s except USFA are made by A. Uberti which is owned by Barretta. My understanding is that the cimmarron is a little better as far as fit and finish.
Enjoy the shopping it's have the fun.:dancingbanana:

Howdy

The Beretta 73 is a new offering from Beretta/Uberti and is reported to have a factory short short but according to posts on the SASS wire still needs action work like most new guns.

The difference between a stock 73 and a short stroked rifle with a good action job is significant.

But there are those who prefer stock guns.

My 73's and 66 are short stroked and have had action work. They are pleasure to shoot when you don't have to fight a stiff action.
