Has anyone used one of these for CAS?

I am interested how they perform.

I like having unusual guns when I compete so was thinking of a pair of these rather than vaqueros.

I know ruger is a "better" product but am interested in hearing from anyone who has used the 1875.

Debatable "Ruger" better, just American, and if a tradionalist and want as made pr-1900 they don't follow original specs. I have been using the same Uberti's now for 17 years, one broken spring that's it. Cannot go wrong with Uberti, I have two Rem 1875's, good guns nice look, no problem with holsters, go for it. Remember keep all your guns same calibre makes your life much easier.

I don't shoot'em but a pard of mine does.
They were his 1st pair of Cowboy pistols, I would saythat they've served him very well, the only issue that I can recall is a broken hand in the 2nd year of shooting them. They're beautiful and I agree, they're really cool! I've had the pleasure of shooting a fair bit and they do point very nicely, they're all around nice guns.
