Review of Uberti's new Silver Boy 22 long rifle - Well just got back from the ranch and was excited about my newest rim fire rifle the Uberti Silver Boy Purchased from Al Flaherty's but for $500+ total it turned out to be a big disapointment.
I tried Federal 22 lr and Remington as well as Winchester lr high velocity. The rate of failure to extract a fired case from the chamber was less with the Winchester than with the others and the shooting sessions were painful to say the least. Notified Flaherty and they gave me a phone number to Stogers the importer (actual number was for the Canadian Frearms Center) and stated from the dealer the turnaround time was longer and I could get in touch directly with the company and I could possibly change the extractor my self. Why warranty it for two years then would the warranty still cover me if I worked on the gun myself?
Not good !
Nice looking gun that is just a wall hanger right now.
Will let you know how this turns out.
