Ugly Bolt

I bought a modified Swedish Mauser about a year ago and through the usage out at the range and constant cleaning the bluing that the previous owner put on the bolt has become a bit of an eye sore. Yesterday I removed the bluing from the bolt and realized that the bolt in the white is also a little bit of an eye sore.

I am wondering if there is any way to bring this bolt back to its original condition and if certain areas of the bolt could be blue or painted without chipping or fading?

The original bolt should have been issued in the white, so you just have to pretty it up some. Is it damaged in some way, chipped or scratched badly? Some minor polishing might be in order. - dan

How do you suggest polishing the bolt?

There are some modifications at the rear where the safety mechanism was removed and the bolt was bent.

I would like to keep the main portion of the bolt in the white and have the rear area including the bolt treated with armacoat or something like that.

Can the bolt be easily dissasembled?
