Ugly dovetail rail for the 10/22?

Hey guys-I think I already know the answer to this question, but more than once I've put together an optic solution for a gun that requires actual dovetails instead of weaver/pic. Pretty sure I'm familiar with, or have used every type of adapter but today's question is this;

Are there any nice/decent-looking rimfire/dovetail rails available for the 10/22? There are none that I can see/find. In this instance, there are dovetail rings I'm wanting to use for a host of reasons, but the only rail I can find looks pretty awful. Guess it's the only option, or my Google mojo may have failed me too? lol

LMK if I'm missing some nice/custom option out there that is just a dovetail, nothing else. Ideally matte finish if there is a choice.

Thanks 10/22 builders! Guess I can't slag these guns anymore, cabin fever is getting the best of me these days. lol

What about the factory mount, or are you looking for one without any pic slots?

Only one I’ve ever come across,

Thanks RR, yeah, that's the only one I've seen. That, and one not made as nicely as that. Right though, might have been easier to just phrase the question the you did, thanks! So yes, that rail/minus the pic slots.

Is that a Ruger/factory one? At least the matte finish is nice. Would be a good back-up plan. Thanks for posting!

Put in a WTB I purchased a oem Ruger dovetail only mount a few years ago.

You're in luck. I still got it. Called 22 Tip-off base.

Curious minds want to know, why do you want/need to use the dovetail rings rather than getting something that'll mount to a pic/weaver rail?

Well with a name like 22 Guy. He probably has a box full of dovetail rings not being used, like I do. Or has a retro build plan in mind.

Yeah I figured that is part of it, but that is only one reason, OP said there is a host of reasons. I also have dovetail rings in a box. Wouldn't be surprised if they're still in that box 50 years from now... lol

^bingo-lots of rimfire rings, mostly used...a few new options. There are also optics with rimfire-specific mounts, and one I'm wanting to possibly try on this rifle. And it's not the old Bushnell. lol

I either have, or have used nearly every type of adapter and yes...pic rails solve lots of challenges due to the huge selection of rings. May end-up going that route, there are more/nicer pic rail options for the 10/22. For now, a little search to explore the options.

Thanks for the input guys!

Now we-re talking... Thanks! I'll see if there are any new-ish ones out there.

Ruger still lists on their website this style for the 96/22.

Other then that. All I can find is the dual weaver and dovetail ones. Weaver brand might have less cross slots at only 2. T09.

Thanks OS-took a look. Right item, likely not the same hole pattern. Much appreciated though, sounds like you took a look around, thanks! Yeah, it must be the weaver one that prompted the "ugly" comment, I'm thinking I could live with the Ruger one. I'll dig around a little more first.

Was a Europe one that fit the 1022 and Savage 24. But these 2 are the only dovetail only I know of.

Recknagel 11 mm Dovetail Rail for Ruger 10/22. But I'm sure you could find someone with NOS ruger base. They came in a brown envelope.

Thanks OkayShooter. Did a look around for that specific rail, nothing more than a picture from Optics Trade. Perfect solution, and probably unatainable.

OK-guess I have my answer. Ruger factory rail.

thanks everyone

not sure that is the correct name for what you have
I have something similar so googled the Ruger 96/22 base and found a pic on Optics Planet site for the #90175 , as well as listing for the 'Weaver 22 tip off adapter base', which looks quite different

the base I have has similar basic shape and 4 holes, though the spacing looks slightly different than yours

22lrguy, if that type works, what is the screw hole spacing you need?
dovetil width?

Pretty sure, one could find one on the EE if they wanted.
