Was it moved or did it "mysteriously vanish" ? In any case, here's the link to the relevant information:

*LINK REMOVED BY SLOI*

Does anyone have additional information about the process or has anyone gone through it yet?

Well, I can understand their reluctance to share the 'spoils', but locking the thread with the appropriate explanation would help avoid future postings: as it stands, we're left guessing why it was deleted.

Besides, you can't honestly pass up an opportunity like this: on the flip side, if such deals are really possible, I can understand their fear and motives for deleting the thread and making sure no one ever finds out about it.

I looked at the rules and found the following relevant material (comments in bold):

"Solicitation of donation or group buy must receive prior approval from CGN admin."

The abovementioned thread presented the website and entertained the idea of a group buy while not specifically making any concrete plans to do so. Even then, an admin could have simply chimed in rather than deleting the thread...

"Shipping and driving items to Canada from the US that require US export permit,"

That can't be the reason because (as anyone reading the material would have known) Buds has gone to great lengths to make everything legal, provided we also take care of matters on our side.

I would seriously like to know why it's been deleted. :p

Well most price are only 50-100$ max less, CZ75b 393$us->601$cdn once imported, they can be had for 629$ tax in from canada directly

If the thread was deleted, I call power trip, should only have been edit for links no?

No linking to non-members, that does (technically) support my original idea, if even only in a tangential way.

Anyway, you can lock the thread since it's clearly against site rules: I've made edits wherever necessary. My apologies... :(

Understand, you can post the link, just slightly obfuscated, a space between the http:// sitethatdoesn'tsupportCGN.COM would suffice. What we are trying to do is have some benefits to financially supporting CGN. It isn't that we want to hide other sites, just support the people that put up a couple of bucks to support this site.

Where can you buy a CZ75b for 629$ brand new in Canada?

50-100 max less? Walther p99 1025$ in Canada, 550$ in the US. You meant 50% right?

Look, if Canadian retail prices were a little more in line with the US prices maybe people would not always consider still buying from the US in spite of the paperwork. If Leroys guns out of Montana does get the shipping costs down there will be alot of people who will decide to go that route (including myself) inspite of a little bit of paperwork. I don't mind paying a bit more for guns locally but 50% more on some guns is getting a little bit steep.

There was only one thing I wanted from Buds (or whoever they are) that was a lot less money than here in Canada.

Check the Trijicon section under scopes... RX01 for $350'ish USD (Here they are like what... almost $1000?) That is when it is worth it to go the US route.

who's Buds?

Bud's Gun Shop out of the US (one of the more popular online gun retailers in the US). They will ship guns and accessories to Canada using Leroys Guns out of Montana as the exporter.

You can buy a CZ75B at gunsnthings.ca for 629$.

Well if it's 550$us in the US, add about 125$us for Shipping/Leroy fee, adjust the Exchange rates, than add canadian tax. I'm getting 815$cdn without any PST, only GST included.

Actually it is $393.67 US for the 75B = $488.15 CDN + $140CDN Shipping = $628.15
vs $629 tax in. Doesn't sound like much of a savings to me.

Take Care

That 140$ shipping is obsolete when you consider that the man will drive the firearms up himself for practically nothing if we do a group buy: now do you understand why this is so exciting? A .40 USP for 500 US (used section) becomes 560 CAN... with a few extra fees making it perhaps 700 total... maybe even less if, again, we do a group buy and the gentleman in question brings them over. It's an excellent opportunity...
