UIT Rail Question...

Very interesting, thank you for the information.

At this point I think it will be a matter of testing stuff and finding out what works best for me and my rifle.

Turns out it is not a McRee stock, but it is based on it, just like before it was a Savage, or a Remington that it was based off of. From what McRee says, they are very flattered ;)

Thanks,

Anybody know/think you could replace a UIT (Anschutz) rail with a 1913 MIL STD rail?

Koshy,

Is this what you are looking for - a bipod adapter for your rifle rail - that can be used as a swivel stud ?

It is available from Brownells :
www.brownells.com - search for item #416-006-100AC (#6 stud).
No, it is not a "gun part" (confirmed to me by Mrs. Sandra Moranville, 12/01/2009 - sandym@brownells.com).

It is also available from Wholesale Sports :
www.wholesalesports.com - item #63379 (#6 Rail Adapter).

Have a look for yourself.

Thanks for the info snowy owl.. I'm just looking at all my options :) I would likely go with a Atlas Bipod, although I don't even know if we can get them in Canada and I cannot find out until shot show is over most likely =(

Thanks,
