hey guys

well i got my ultimak m8 last night, sat down to fit it, followed the instructions to the letter, but it just isnt happening for me, it doesnt sit level with the reciever, almost as if i need a spacer at the top end, and also when its all clamped down, it contacts the Oprod and makes cycling near on impossible.
this is on a norc.

anyone encountered this problem? i wanna see if im missing something in the installation steps before i take the Dremel to my M8

pictures will be coming tonight

The ultimak doesn't sit prefectly inline with the bore.

If its hitting the oprod just rotate it slightly till the oprod just clears.

Update: i have tried tightening the left hand side bolts first and that twisted the mount enough to the left so that it isnt gripping the oprod anymore
BUT
yes theres a but, part of the rear mounting is still contacting the oprod's front face, so i will have to dremel that a little.. there isnt much room for error with this mount.

it is also contacting the stock on the left side near the reciever.. im guessing this will adversely effect the accuracy as it will be putting pressure on the bbl .. my dremel will be getting a workout tonight :p

since the top of my reciever doesnt even look level, i think where i have it now is pretty good.. when i shoulder the rifle the scope is in a pretty acceptable position, it doesnt look like its off on an angle or anything, so im going to trim the appropriate place on the stock and mount and leave it where it is
