I was looking at B. Searcy & Co's site and see that they are making a box lock SxS rifle in .577 Nitro Express. The price is $18,000. If, however, the .577 is not quite large enough to stop whatever you need to stop, you can step up to a 4 bore! The price is $50,000:

I'm wondering about drilling and tapping.

A Bushnel Banner would be the perfect accessory for your basic DGR.:)

I had a 3-9x40 Bushnell Scope Chief on my .416 RM, after about 100 rounds you could hear stuff rolling around inside the scope. Those scopes weren't half bad...made in Japan and with a lifetime warranty. It didn't have quite enough eye relief...my brother has the mark to prove it.:D

I met a guy once who owned a 4 bore. I never saw the rifle but I saw pictures of him shooting it. It looked hard and hard hitting...

A set of wheels would be a good accessory with offroad tires for bush carrying.

Would this be a perfect compliment for the .30-30 hunter? The arguing would stop when you haul that baby out! Kinda feel sorry for the trees.

Here is a gun I saw on (gunsaustralia.com)

500 NITRO EXPRESS DOUBLE RIFLE
500 Nitro Express made by Ron Webb based on a Ruger 12g action.I believe only three were made on the large action -all in 500.Several more were made on the 20g action in 375 Flanged. This firearm regulates very well and is in excellent condition. - VG

On the 4 bore, there is a video at www.gunshop.com on the lower right side of the 4 bore going off with both barrels.
I have shot that 4 bore, load was 400 grains of black powder with a 1850 grain bullet and the gun weights 24 pounds and it is a hand full to hold when you pull the trigger.
