does anyone know anywhere in Canada with reasonable postage charges to get the above book?

tried my local stores and they cant get it, and to get it from the states will double the cost of the book.

failing that does anyone have a copy they no longer want and would be willing to sell? dont mind condition as long as its readable..

thanks

I ordered mine from the states , it was cheaper then getting them in canada.
I ordered 2 books (one for myself and one for a friend) direct from paladin press and because of the order amount the shipping was free. Its worth checking out the website www.paladinpress.com

and after you receive the book in the mail from Paladin (or order through chapters) the next time you renew your PAL/RPAL little red flags pop up and you get calls from CFC asking you questions...i know because i ordered "The Long Range War" by Peter Senich.....
the questions went something like: "how many books have you ordered from Paladin Press...?"

what rights do the CFC or anyone else have to know what books you choose to buy??? surely paladin press could be prosecuted for passing on your private info...

Redleg, yeh i just called and found out you are out of stock. how much are they when you have them?

$49

There was a Canadian seller on eBay selling the 2006 version for 49.95+14.00 S&H last weekend. I got the 2nd last copy, not sure if the last one is sold yet.

i think it had to do with some books that PP had sold that some sort of wanna be hitman then got caught with...i doubt PP gave the info away, probably canada customs, this was a while ago...

This is true and has been for decades.

In about 1973 I bought 5 books from Palladin as a special offer. About a year later I bought another pistol. The transfer seemed to be taking a long time. At that time a lot of the transfer activities involved the local police, so I went down to the local detachment to ask what was taking so long. After beating around the bush for a while the constable I was talking to looked up and quietly said "Bought any books lately?"

Keep in mind that Palidin is also basically the same as Soldier Of Fortune and for those of you that read this magazine in the 80's we all know what could be had in the back of the magazine. My uncle who is now retired, was a high ranking Police Officer with Metro, I still remember him telling my dad back then that anyone who had a subscription to SOF was monitored by the RCMP. Could be urban legend, could not, but nothing would have surprised me. The magazine has changed quite a bit since then, no more "guns for hire" AKA hitmen in the back.
