Haha, repulsive seems like a strong word, but I'm with you, can't see myself ever buying a full stocked rifle, those aesthetics don't do it for me. Also the BLR, typically I like the look of lever guns but I can't bring myself to like those. That said, all the different interests that people have are what drive the manufacturers to provide us consumers all these options which is a good thing.

Exactly!! It's bad enough with the likes of some of our top level elected reps coming at 'us' from the opposing side of the fence. My preference is for blued steel and nicely figured wood and I do like and have a few full wood models but with a focus on being in European calibres only. Granted, that style isn't every ones choice. Just like for me, some of the newer styles available today that look like they were passed down to Luke Skywalker from Darth Vadar, don't do a thing for me. But, as/the post by buckbrush, 'different strokes for different folks'.

Nice idea. But that's going to be one blinding muzzle flash at dawn or dusk. You just might have to wear ear plugs with it while merely hunting. Just saying.
Might motivate some one to buy a 30-30 Trapper instead.

I like some of the Bergara offerings and enjoy my B-14R, but that "mall ninja" thing be useless to me. I'll gladly stick with me compact .45 cal units.
A rifle in a pack and not in me hands be even more useless to me.
