Anyone ever tried this stuff as a grease for your M-14? Its 100% synthetic, Weatherproof, waterproof, its good from -54C to +1538C.

It SEEMS like it would be a great product. Although I have not seen where anyone has used it.

Comments?

It's also sold as die-electric silicone based grease. Very wide range of temps for sure. I know it does a good job of keeping the pins that a caliper floats on from corroding. Any other lube just runs off at high braking temps. I don't think it would make an actual high pressure lubricant like moly based greases.

If I recall correctly, Hungry mentioned in the video that any grease will work, so it is just a matter of deciding if you want to use it.

Save yer money! Any grease.... let's get away from all those exotic lube arguments found in Arf.com sites. Keep it simple and cheap, unless you are stupid like moi and spend $ 20 on a 2oz jar of Plastilube from Fulton Armory after it #####-crossed the USA 3 times before finally being mailed to Canada...:(

Moral of the story: Ukrainian Tire or TSC Farm Supplies or Home Depot or RONA or Carquest or Princess Auto

oh yeah, ensure that yer #### don't fall off, especially if you don't use greas and fire the rifle DRY

why do i always get the feeling the canadian tire comes from a new country everytime you post? ;)

I've started to use the grease I use on my truck and trailer. I'm using mobil 1 synthetic but I'm game for any decent synthetic GC-LB stuff. I was using snowmobile grease before.

I like it because:
-It doesn't separate like the snowmobile grease does.
-It does a fine job in any temperature.
-It's bright red, so you can see how quickly it gets dirty... I like that on the truck/trailer, doesn't matter so much on the gun.
-You only have to buy one kind of grease.

That's just what I like, it's not really critical as was said before. I guess that ruggedness is why we like the gun in the first place, eh?
