Guys, what kind of formula you use to clean brass in your ultrasonic?
How do you do it?
Do you soak it first and then clean?
How many rounds do you load inside?

I have a ultra sonic cleaner used it a couple of times to clean some brass.I deprimed my brass first, then use dawn dishsoap did a pretty good job overall.I prefer to use my tumbler just throw in a couple of hundred...check in a 3-4 hrs nice and clean,no worries about standing around till it gets done,like with the ultra sonic.

I use the ultrasonic for cleaning dirty carboned gun parts.Works great on that stuff.

I get the same results as ultrasonic with ceramic media. Plus, I can do loads of 300 308 Win. cases vs. 30 with US.

Water + Vinegar (50/50) removes carbon will. Softens it up really well.

I've settled on a 10 minute cycle in 50/50 vinegar and water with a few drops of dish detergent followed by a cycle in a baking soda solution rinse. This is usually enough to clean the primer pockets and to remove all the carbon from inside the cases. I keep my batches small, usually 10-15 cases at a time. I place the cases in a 250 ml beaker and thus can run the rinse cycle as I run the subsequent clean cycle.

The wet ceramic media in a tumbler is interesting, I'll have to give it a try sometime.
