Ultrasonic cleaner

There is an excellent article about ultrasonic cleaners on accurateshooter.com by Jason, its a good read and looks to be one of the best ways to clean brass inside and out. It simply looks to be a superior way of cleaning brass.

well, just read through the other thread and put in an order for one.

I live in an apartment and the noise from a regular tumbler wouldn't make me a very popular person.

If you're going to get one, get a good one. There is a world of difference between a machine like a Branson and one of the cheap Asian units.

I have been mulling it over if I should buy one or not, and am still undecided. Cleaning gun parts with it would be cool, but still not sure. How good it cleans brass is very interesting.

cleans brass inside and out, even gets the primer pockets really well. I usually run mine for 45 minutes and let the brass dry over night after dumping it into a towel and giving it a good shake.

I ordered a 3L heated unit yesterday - no more brushing necks or cleaning. That and a Gracey case trimmer. After fully prepping and loading 400 cases this weekend, I want to streamline time spent on case prep. When this hobby becomes a chore, I look for ways to make it back into an enjoyable task.

I got my cleaner in the mail two days ago and I've been going around everywhere in the apartment finding things to put in it.

It is awesome. it is a 2.5L unit and also has a heater function that heats water up to 65 degrees.

I've tried it with both vinegar and some dishsoap. it works great!

I haven't tried it on spent casings though as I don't have any right now, but I did try the casings that I have as a keychain and it worked great.

Very happy.
