Hello,
anyone uses ultrasonic cleaners to clean parts or brass?

How do they work, and which one to buy, not to break the budget?

Who sells them in Canada?

Thanks

How big of parts? Ebay has a pile of them in different sizes. If its for handgun parts "The Source"(radio shack) has one for jewelry for around $50. Try the small one and see if it works as you would like it before spending on something larger.

M.D.Charlton for Crest cleaning systems.
R.Nicholls Distributors for L&R.
Can't say which is better but I know the Crest unit works pretty well.
For serious gun cleaning, expect a comma in the price.

I bought the Radio Shack one, reg. $49 for $29 on sale.
I was fully expecting it to be junk but it's actually been useful.
It's small - my glasses will barely go in. A stripped enfield bolt fits with the handle sticking out. .22 bolts are no problem.
It does a pretty good job of cleaning. It auto shuts off after 3 minutes. Usually have to put it through 2 or 3 cycles.
If you throw a strip of aluminum foil in it, it punches holes through the foil and puts dents in the foil - I read that was a way to test the cleaning effectiveness.
Stuff comes out clean.

I got my ultrasonic cleaner off of ebay. I use it for cleaning my brass and my firearms. If you get some Tupperware it makes it easer then having to clean your machine after every different chemical you use. But do not for get to put water around the Tupperware. I use this method for cleaning my brass http://www .6mmbr.com/ultrasonic.html There are some chemicals that you can that are made for firearms (won’t hurt your sights) but I have not bean able to find it in Canada.Hope this helps you

Thanks guys,

I think I gonna pick one of the ebay with at leat 5"x7" so I can fit some gun parts and brass.
