Hello, wondering if ultrasonic cleaners are good for cleaning your brass? Pros? Cons? Any info you could offer would be helpful. Thanks in advance.

I've got a small 10 litre capacity Amazon special I use for gun parts, magazines, jewelery, tools, garden pruners, car parts, carburetor off the mower, chain saw and lots of other stuff.

You can find lots of homemade cleaning solution recipes online.

Pros: Your brass will be clean on the inside as well
Cons: Brass gets discolored if you forgot about them in the tank

Yes, I just did a batch yesterday. No need anything fancy juice, I just use a regular concentrate dish washing soap.

Wow ultrasonic cleaners are pricey, I think I found the deal of a lifetime with my L&R LE-36. Never even thought about cleaning brass in it

Indeed it is, it will hold a 16" AR 15 upper to clean.

Has four transducers to do the work, and as a bonus comes with two full unopened Hornady One Shot sonic cleaning solution jugs......

The price on these units have skyrocketed though, just like everything else in the shooting sports. Over $1400.00 to buy new.....

Agree with diegocn, tumbler with SS pins give you shiny inside and out, if that's your main concern

Interestingly the Hot Tub has a 9L capacity. The difference is the shape of each, long rectangle vs a square.

If the hot tub is in fact worth $1400 new then those Amazon ones like you have are an amazing price!

I don't even disassemble them, drop them in whole at 40C for ½hr

If you panning buying a first UC, get one with multiple mods, degassing is a nice feature.
