So I just picked one of these up the other day and I have to say it is a real blast. I picked one up with two mags and have dumped a lot of BBs since it arrived ;)

Full auto in this thing is really crazy. You'll go through 30 rounds in a magazine in a second just holding down the trigger.

The only con with the gun is the wood isn't real. Shame really.

Any full auto BB is fun but for me the novelty is gone almost as fast as the CO2 cartridges are. More reloading and regassing than shooting.

When buying extra Umarex 30 round M1A1 Magazines look for the updated magazine with the hold down notch for easy reloading, the earlier versions did not have this notch and are a PITA to load...

They just released an M3 Grease Gun. About $300 at Air Gun Source and $256 at D&L.

The wood-free designs of the M3 or MP40 might fit a bit better without the fake wood, although the grips on my M712 were pretty convincing. I agree with EL34/6L6 though. The novelty wore off pretty quickly. Of course, the M712 also doesn't have a last shot hold open, so it was easy to waste gas even though the magazine was empty and I sent it off to a better home.

That said, if they come out with a Sten, I'd probably be right back in line to get one!

They are great fun, pretty accurate too. I have noticed the threads when loading co2 don't seem to line up perfectly and it wants to cross thread from factory. Used some pelgun oil to lube the threads a bit to prevent damage. I plan on making wood furniture for mine one day. Just a few more replicas to complete the ww2 collection ;D

I just picked up one of the M3 grease guns and although I haven’t had the opportunity to shoot it, I have to say it looks and feels like the real thing (I’ve shoot one one 3 different occasions in Vegas). The detail they’ve incorporated is amazing.
