I've been shooting the Umarex Ruger MK IV spring pistol and really enjoying it. The trigger isn't great, but the accuracy and adjustable sights are excellent for the price. Does anyone know if and when the "Stainless" version is coming into the country? I wouldn't mind another. Would also be great if they would release a .22 pellet version with a bit more power.
This can also be a catch-all thread for the Umarex Ruger MK IV. Topics of discussion may include: internal polishing, grip and front sight replacement, which pellets you find group the best.
Edit: I left this post about a month ago, and thought I'd follow up despite the lack of replies. Maybe someone will find this helpful. The majority of reviews I read indicate the terrible trigger, but I wonder if those reviewers have tried putting 30-50 pellets through the pistol first. After 30 pellets, the trigger smoothed out, and after 50 the trigger became very predictable. It's still heavy, but it's improved quite a bit and I didn't have to polish anything. The adjustable rear sight works very well and the accuracy is excellent. I cannot recommend this enough. I'm curious how this will do past the 1000 pellet mark.
Edit: May 30th, Still no replies, this is fun, I have created a blog out of this post. The air pistol smoothed out, and has continued to group well. I am worried now that it will be banned, considering it looks like a Ruger Mark IV Hunter.
