Umarex Steel Storm: how to slow down the rate of fire ?

I bought a Umarex Steel Storm and did a full-auto mod (just removing some parts), so that when the selector switch is at 6-round burst position, it will fire continuously until you release the trigger.

I'd like to be able to squeeze off 2 or 3 shot bursts, but found it almost impossible to do, it seems the trigger does not return fast enough for it to happen. I could probably use a stronger the trigger return string, but that would increase the trigger pull too.

After looking at the internal parts, I wonder if the rate of fire can be slowed down by somehow increasing the weight of the bolt or one of the plastic tubes containing the recoil spring. Is this a good idea ? Any suggestions ?

Increasing the inertia of the bolt or increasing the resistence of the recoil ass'y will result in ftf.

You want to slick up the trigger so that there isn't as much resistence for the return spring to overcome. Lightening the trigger may help also. You could also use a heavier return spring. It won't increase the pull weight that much.
