So I picked up a Norc CQ-A with 10.5" barrel for some CQB fun in the upcoming year. I've got the AR15 handguard removal tool, and I took the factory handguard off with zero trouble... but fitting this new quadrail is a real #####
It says in the manual that installation might be kinda tight and to have a rubber mallet handy, but I tried that a little, and it (a) made me nervous and (b) didn't work out.
I've already got an appointment with a gunsmith on another matter so it's not a big deal to get a STATT and send this off to be installed, but I'd love to be able to do it myself. I'm just not sure what the issue is, and I'm loathe to take the Dremel to something. You can't dremel something to a larger size, after all.
Thoughts, opinions, suggestions?
