Unbelieveable

A couple of years ago( while bow hunting for moose) I observed an interesting method of road hunting , performed by some young bucks .
After an afternoon of calling near some beaver dams on some big slashes, I was trudging back to our trailer moose camp, which was set up at the end of a remote bush road, when I heard a vehicle easing up the road behind me.
Stepping off the road I hunkered down behind some brush to see who was coming up the road(It was a tad too early for my son to pick me up with the truck as we had a few minutes of daylight left and we were a mile apart plus he had a couple of hundred yards to walk back to where he had parked his half ton .
As the vehicle slowly rounded some curves a hundred yards or so away I could see that it was a late model 4 door sedan with two guys sitting on opposite back door window ledges facing each other over the roof top . Each young buck was cradling a scope-sighted rifle as he scanned the slash behind his partner . The car was piloted by a couple of young girls .
Ahhh!.... to have a heritage like that to fall back onto .
And you think those guys in NB. are unethical.....

can you believe someone posted this???

And here is little old me trying to be ethical and these guys advertise!!
what exactly is the problem in the video?
Road hunting is legal, and so is discharging a firearm in the middle of the road.
It might help if we had some more information as to what province they are in, what road they are on, and if they had prior knowledge of the area before firing, but we do not and it looks simply like road hunting.

You or I may not look kindly upon their actions or hunting methods in the video, but without knowing more there is really no way to figure out if something illegal happened here or not.

looks good to me? don't have enough info from that little footage don't understand jibberish...road hunting..no problem with me. as long as it's safe..

I,m from N-B and watched the video these guys are from northern N-B or Gaspesie Quebec and it sounds to me like they are maybe poaching because the guy in the truck tells the shooter to shoot the calf because the cow has been hit and will die.

Unless these clowns had 2 liscences which are by draw they are only allowed 1 animal and you are not allowed to shoot a cow with a calf unless it is a 2 year old calf .

I don't care if they wan't to road hunt but they were careless shooting down a road which is illegal you are not allowed to shoot down or across a road.

even if the hunting regulations state that it is ok to discharge a firearm on that road? I don't know for sure where the video was filmed, but it is legal in BC to discharge a firearm on certain roads here.

I know different provinces have there own laws in N-B it used to be written in the booklet you get when you purchase a hunting liscence I havn't checked the recent one for that law but I am guessing it hasn't changed .

When I lived in Alberta I think there you could only shoot down a road with a shotgun loaded with bird shot [someone correct me if I am wrong].

will give him the benefit of the doubt and say that he was shooting in a safe direction, considering there is zero evidence to the contrary.

There is zero evidence about anything thats down the road. You are passing judgement. You think you aren't. Your conflict ain't with my opinion.
