I read the reviews on this gun and decided to buy it for my younger grandchildren to learn to shoot with. This thing is tiny but has great features...adjustable AccuTrigger, adjustable peep sight, drilled/tapped for scope mount, sling studs installed, free floated barrel, easy cocking and super lightweight. I also caught the $25 mail in rebate.

I can't wait to go my kids their own. Soon... one blue one pink probably. Lol

I really like that size comparison pic. Really gives perspective of the size...

Got one for my daughter for Christmas. I was quizzing her before I boutht it and asking her what colour she liked he best. To my surprise she said they looked good but she would "definitely would not like a pink one, because it's not a good hunting colour." I got her the Swamp People Troy Landry edition in alligator camo!

I bought a blue one for my son a few years back. He's since graduated to a semi .22 and some larger calibre's. I removed the stock and panted it pearl-purple for my daughter. She loves it. I paid $165 and it's worth every penny! Not only does it have great features, but it's great for teaching a kid that safety comes first.

We have a blue and red one. I put lyman 17AHB .404 high globe front sights on them and my boys use them for junior rifle at local range. They must have around 1500 rounds through them now. They are great little rifles.

They work great
I had my granddaughter out Thursday shooting at milk jugs full of water,
I was shooting my old slavia air rifle , if she hit then I got to shoot if not she kept shooting , using 22 cb shorts,
I bought her the rifle a couple years ago, we had fun she's 7 now, about a box shells then she got cold , but had fun for a while!

i have a Rascal in blue for my girls, took the peep site off after awhile and put a fixed power scorpion scope on it, i used to take it all the time hunting with me as a grouse gun till the kids busted me one time, so i got myself a little badger..lol

my oldest has moved up to a 10/22 for her shooter of choice, 12 year stays mainly with the 17 hmr, but heaven help me if we go to the range or bush with out that little blue gun so they can take a few shots each with it, they really enjoy it

I bought one for my son when he was 5 and he has loved shooting it ever since (now turning 8). We removed the peep sight and added a Busnell red dot, which he likes much better. The rifle had the light firing pin strike issue but Reliable filed the pin for $25, which was cheaper than sending the rifle back to Savage, and now all is well. Accurate little rifle at a budget price - I do recommend them to other people buying their children's first rifle.

I always found it odd that they supplied a cable lock with a single shot as you can't use it without pulling the bolt.
