Uncommon Ruger Value

I have an opportunity to buy a Ruger model 96 chambered in 17 HMR, the rifle is in 90 percent condition and has had less than 250 rounds through it. One owner since new that has not used it in ten years. I know these were not manufactured in great quantity but as a bit of a Ruger aficionado I don't want to let this one get away, any idea what these are going for roughly. Gunbroker . com in the US has one on auction, 2 plus hours left - 20 bids - now at $705.

It would be less in Canada... the US market is always higher.

Thank's GT I will have a peek, I did a google search before my post and see that in the states they are asking in that $700 range for these. 17 HMR would not be my choice in this particular rifle but they do seem rather scarce. I wonder how many of them were made and how many came north of the 49th. Brutal triggers for a varmint rig.

I have both 9622 and 9644, that is .22 rim fire and .44 Magnum. I've seen well used guns at $650 and pristine models asking $1100 at eastern Ontario gun shows.

That gun is minimum $1000 in 95% condition, you can extrapolate from there.
