Not far from Madoc. Reintroduced elk have done really well and now there's a hunt. But difficult to get a tag, even with a group.
Finding sheds is fun, though.

Lots of Elk around here.. no draws.. just buy a tag..some stupid reason it's illegal to pick up sheds in BC..lol people still do though..
Why is it illegal?
It's not. Only in parks.
The way it is written in the Regs is this or in my interpretation is this" being in possession of a game animal with out legal permission or tags is a violation of said BCGame regulation.
People still pick up sheds and hoard them .
In some cases they have Hughes piles of sheds as does a guy in or near Princeton who Ike's up Darcy Mountain and takes pictures of huge Racked Elk.
Anyways, cool pick on your game camera and trust one day you get to buy a tag and shoot a large Elk.
