Looking to mount a 34mm tube scope on my .338 lapua. Is there any advantage of going with a uni-mount compared to regular rings? The rifle already has a 20MOA rail on it, so there is a fair bit of real-estate to mount it. Not looking for something purely for looks, rather functionability. Never going to be swapping scopes or removing it so quick detach would be pointless. Is there any strenght advantage with the uni-mount? Price within reason is not a limiting factor...due to seeing what ammo and scopes cost anyways.
