I am having problems with my rcbs powder disspenser. What happens when I throw the handle on the powder measure, the clinder rotates up as it should and the powder fills the cylinder hole, the problems I'm having is when I bring the handle back down to drop the powder, some will dump, and some will stay stuck in the cylinder hole, it will somtimes dump the remaining powder as I start to throw the handle. I'm not talking about a few grains here and there in variation... ex. it will dump 45grs. on the first try, 32grs. on the second, 51grains on the third..... and so on.

how do I take it apart? what's best to clean it? should I apply lube anywhere?
 
You can take it apart and wax the inside of the measuring chamber with car wax. Wipe it on, let it dry, buff it off. Wax the plunger too.

To take it apart: Take a wrench to the only part on the whole thing that looks like a nut (it's what the adjustment plunger screws into). Lefty loosey...

Once that is screwed out you can either remove it and then slide the cylinder out, or you may have to screw the plunger all the way through and remove it through the hopper. It depends which cylinder you have installed. Do you have the other cylinder? The fact that you don't know how to take it apart suggests that you don't.

Mine came with two cylinders with different sized chambers, one more suited to small charges, one for larger charges. Do they still come with two cylinders?
 
The RCBS measure should come with two sizes of plastic dispenser spouts,(these screw into the bottom of the main body) Large one for extruder powders works best for me, The small one clogs too easy but works great for ball powders.
 
Get a piece of sheet metal or even cut up an aluminum can and make yourself a powder baffle...or buy one from RCBS for $10.00 Will end your problems with powder "bridging".
 
What kind of powder are you using? There are some, both rifle and pistol, that will bridge if you are not careful.
Also, your technique. I find it useful to slower lower the handle to charge the case, allowing the chamber to empty slowly (relativley speaking), rather than in a rush. Using the slow technique I have avoided bridging problems completely.
Bridging in the powder tube is not likely a static problem, unless you are using Trail Boss.
