Anyone have any experience with this load? Hodgdon lists 3.3 as the max load but that may not make minor.

Haven't loaded or tested anything yet, just looking to hear feedback. I may have no choice but to use this powder

Thanks

I haven't loaded the powder with 147gr bullets but with 124gr plated Berry's, and a lot of ammo, I think about 16K+ rounds.
I was loading 4.0gr with OAL 1.12" making PF130.
The powder may actually work better and burn cleaner with heavier bullet.

Matt hat is out of a 4" gun you might be able to pick up 100 fps using a 5" gun. Certainly worth a try if that is all you got. At 31K pressure you might have a tenth of a gr to push with.

Take Care

Pushing it with that powder bro. Good luck. I have used it before in that caliber and bullet. Could not get my fps spread down to a level I was happy with.

Between 3.4 and 3.6gr of Universal with 147gr AIMs 1.1 OAL or Zeros JHP (somewhat longer) make about 132..135 PF.
Been running this load for more than two years.

Thanks...I'm not sure if hodgdon has gotten overly conservative with their max loads, even the 124 gr load I've been using shows over max now, I don't remember that being the case when I first developed the load
