Hello CGN,

Had a neighbour ask me about a few bayonets and this one is a mystery to me as blades aren't my forte. If you have any suggestions as to what it may be I'd be most appreciative.

It's for a Long Lee and the bezels have been replaced/catch button missing. Someone made a hunting knife out of it back in the day when you could pick them up for a buck.

Decent scabbards are almost impossible to locate because they were made of leather and often poorly maintained/stored.

New Old Stock or Repro bezels are available as are the lug retention parts. Likely cost as much as the bayo would be worth when refinished.

Original bayos, in decent condition are difficult to locate and expensive when found, you should be able to get $40-$60 for that one online, as it is restorable and would be fine for someone that needs it to complete a rifle with a real issue bayo.

I believe there are also repro bayos out there now??? from which parts could be swapped. The original stamped metal blade has value in itself.

Thanks bearhunter, I appreciate the information. I wonder if you might have an idea of value on the other 2 from the same gentleman. A Swedish mauser bayonet and Spanish bolo

$100 to $150 each, depending on how much finish is on the scabbards, maybe a bit more for the bolo, which has a very early grip.
