Unknown smith

Some of the best builders, I am talking guys who KNOW how to chamber with tight tolerances when dialing a barrel in are unknown. They may not craft stocks or finish them. They can set and bed an action stress free.

I know a few who do not want to be known. They have a small circle they work for and are happy with that.

There are definately some craftsmen out there though.

Absolutely true. There’s a ton of talent out there that only a few know about. Some on the forum here that would surprise the hell out of you.

Unknown smiths? Yep, for sure…

You and I have used lots of the same guys. And certainly some that you have never heard of.
Hate? What are you on about? Your lack of reading comprehension is what is truly puzzling?
There aren't many "known" guys who's work hasn't been seen, owned, handled, or otherwise.
Please read the posts between the one quoted above, and this one, Every single one of them gets it, and yet you do not.
Quality work is just that. Regardless if the fellow is "known" or not. And again, just because a fella is "known" here, doesn't mean that he is anywhere else. So if a guy isn't familiar, that renders the work as garbage, according to you? Kinda silly, don't you think? That seems to be usual, with you though, doesn't it.

Keep feeding your ego, among other things... You seem to be good at it, and obviously do it often.
At this point in time, quality is quality, no matter who looks at it. You should really know that by now, as certainly most on this thread do.
