Hi all I am looking for impressions about this stamp which looks like a “W” superimposed with an “A” on a crescent.. this is on the receiver ring and barrel of my No 1 . The gun has the C broad arrow and the sold from service arrows, and the expected Enfield inspection stamps. Was thinking it might be from the Wainwright depot??B3CED095-FE83-4FE2-BD03-023397BF210B.jpg

Canadian War Assets
Sold off thorough official channels
A most interesting collection of markings on that rifle.....

Thank you! I am ever interested in chasing out details. I made a quick google and read the Canadian war Assets was a post ww2 entity. Hmmm

I have a Lee Enfield Mk. 1 Cavalry Carbine with the CWA stamp. I thought it odd that an 1898-dated rifle would still be in military service when WW II ended.
