Unnamed French? Single shot side hammer 16ga

I believe this is French. It’s unnamed, very dainty and beautifully balanced. Laminate twist barrel. I suspect likely from the late 1870s. Possibly early 1880s. Needs a little stoning on the nose of the sear but the inside of the lock is bright and clean. Still shows some case colours.

So many singles were basic inexpensive utility guns. It is nice to see one that isn't, that is a higher grade.
