unopened case of 500 Imperial 12 ga

500 Imperial 12ga ? what? slugs, 00 buck, #2,4,6,7.5 or 8

target loads #7.5/8 are about $6-8 per box of 25rds
Slugs are generally priced between $0.75 and $2/round with an average of $1.25/rd
00 Buck and #2,4,6 are generally priced between $0.50 and $2/round as well with an average of about $0.75/rd

just my observation. Pretty much ammo is worth the going rate for ammo of that calibre.

$20 top, per box when sold individually.
Whatever you can negotiate for a case.
Maybe $250 or $300. Gunshows are fickle things.

So are many people want something for nothing I have found. And then there's the time wasters who don't even have a PAL going to guns shows trying to buy stuff.

Nice IMPERIAL #4 should bring at least $15 a box. Great stuff for gophers and crows. I took a bunch of various new old stock 12 ga to the Canora show and sold it for $10, except for some 3", which was 12.50. All gone in the first hour. All lead shot.

That load is no good for grouse, cannot use for ducks or geese ie: need steel so price will be down graded

I got some like that from a friend who had long time. It was stored in dry cool places for years but something happened to the powder. It seems it almost did go off and barely got out of the barrel. I would try some first. They were #4 and I’m glad I tried them before going hunting.

Given they are No4, there is not much use for them in the field (jackrabbits?). Some folk may find them collectible, although paper shells would command more. Heavy field loads are currently going for ~ 15$ a box, you should be able to get at least that for them...

Not much use? Selling readily in gun shows is an indication that someone thinks there is a use.
How fast they sell hinges on price.

I picked up a case of mixed size 16ga for $50, that is 250rds for $50, #6,4,2,SG,slugs, CIL, Imperial, Federal, unless this is the new issue Imperial ammo it is felt wad with no protection around the shot, spreads out a pile, not going to get you new prices for it. If it were odd shot sizes then it would be worth more but new stuff is between $13-20 a box, some would pay that but I think that is insane. One issue with old Imperial shells is the the brass splits, I have seen a lot of that. Have you inspected all the shells for splitting or just have the case and want to sell the boxes unopened?
