Due to the crazy prices with ammo I have decided to start reloading. I currently know very little about it but am wondering what everyone else thinks about it....

Poll time

Reloading is a great hobby to get into. You may not save money, but you can sure shoot a lot more for the same price. For anyone not reloading.... what the heck are you waiting for?? :D

Hey! I see you got the poll creating figured out!

ipscraz got it right, if you look back on your poll a year from now, you will wonder what you were waiting for.

"...shoot a lot more for the same price..." And you'll be shooting ammo that's tailored for your firearms. Go buy a copy of The ABC's of Reloading. Then look into an RCBS Beginner's Kit.

What is a good starting point... something that I will not be tossing out in 1-2 years..... I keep hearing Dillon & RCBS.... With a quick info Hunt there seems to be 2 logical choices the Dillon 550 and the 650... for the extra money and not wanting to be purchasing more all the time the 650 seems to be the logical answer.......

agree?

I don't know how you guys reload but I actually saved a lot with a first batch of 500 rounds. Basically after loading my first 500 all my equipment has paid itself off. And you know how it goes with 45ACP, you shoot it and then you shoot some more. There is something magic about silhoueettes dropping with loud bang, something heart warming...

won't be fair not to mention - turret press is a good investment, they are not very expensive these days. Reloading for pistol (see above) quickly became a few hours a week routine. I am finding it a little too much and thinking about turret press with hopper and bullet feed.
