how can one find out if there are extra tags for an area that noone drew.I heard of a buch issued here for mule does and only one guy put in so people just bought them last year.is there a website that tell this or how do you know we have way to many mule does here and i didn't put in for any draws this year because I thought i would be in school for hunting season now I could use the extra tags but can only buy two around hear that i know of.

Saskatchewan has an extra mulie tag system. My partners will have their draw tags, and a mittful of non-trophy "meat" tags. Contact SERM or the game warden.

Mule doe tags in the east country aren't quite so prone to getting "scarfed up pretty quick" - Last year some went begging right up past close of season. No sense lolly-gagging though...

As of tonight around Halkirk (Follow Scott N's link to check for yourself):

Last Update/Review: October 13, 2006 8:30 a.m.
Antlerless Mule Deer Special Licence - Draw Code 14
WMU / Sept. 1 Licences Available / Licences Remaining
166 / 124 / 85
204 / 220 / 203

One tag issued for either of these two zones. Combine that with the General White-tailed Deer and a Supplemental Antlerless White-tailed Deer in 204 and you're good for 3 deer.

Add to those the
Antlerless White-tailed Deer Special Licence - Draw Code 16
WMU / Sept. 1 Licences Available / Licences Remaining
166 / 87 / 54

And you could have four tags valid within minutes of home.

I'm up in the Boreal reigon (500's) and they don't last long:D

I don't have my map handy, where is 164, 200, 220? In the east.... Vermilion?

You had better check the link because they seem to have lasted at least this long! There is still a pot full of tags left for the 500 series zones.

Looks that way doesn't it.:p

Problem is a lot of those tags are in remote areas with difficult access which explains the high numbers.

A tag is only as good as its access, but a tag is a tag I guess.
