They are tack drivers ..........I had one and like a fool sold it.DWM..........the first one did you get it from SIR per chance?

No. I got a tip on its existence. Of course it was a little old widow who was sick of seeing it hanging around and being in the way all the time. The perfect scenario !!

Beautiful rifle. I have two, one Berlin, the other Oberndorf. I've fired one a few times.

Yours is a nice one, for sure. Fascinating to see the target. I have a 1935 with its target, etc. Imagine a room full of those babies!

Thanks for sharing.

Edit: I had one at a gun show one time and had an "expert" argue adamantly that the star was the Star of David. Okay Bud, whatever. :(

Thanks. I’ve heard it was a crest of one of the Mauser makers/owners, but not sure. Yeah I agree. The target looks like a sighting shot right. The front sight is drifted slightly right. The next couple are on top
of each other. Or... he had a flyer

That's a good one.
They are the best Mausers in my opinion.
I have a 1908 in same condition from Oberndorf and a couple 1935s.
The 1908 seems to be a little smoother nicer, but they are all extremely accurate, they can put a k31 or Swedish m96 to shame.
