Just got a Nylon 77 10c (clip fed semi auto, Mohawk brown nylon). It does not have the usual white diamond inserts in the stock. The diamonds are silver "jewelled" inserts but appear factory on a near perfect, almost unused rifle. Cannot find any mention of silver or jewelled diamonds. Any ideas?

A special / limited edition may be?
Are you the 3rd owner, could be the original owner was a bit of an artist, or an expert tinkerer?
The good thing is, it doesn't sound like his name was Bubba.:dancingbanana:
We have all seen some of the $h!+ shows he's created.
Have fun with your new rifle.

In any case "expert" would describe the quality of that difference from the standard stock. And as I didn't buy it to invest in the future it will just be one thing to be careful with when plinking at the farm.

Is your avatar a Browning medalist or challenger? (Old eyes, couldn't make out). Nice pistols and no controversy over their accuracy

Hi. It's a Remington, all the markings are right. Date code puts it at Nov 72 and the sn is in line with a July 73 shown on a for sale site. Just a cool mystery (hmmm, might need to name this baby mystery).
