PURPOSE 1) this sunday marks the opening of the summer shooting season
at hamilton anglers and hunters association with the ever popular
HAHAHACLACLA (ie HAHA HAnging CLAy CLAssic) ... this is one of the longest
run shooting events in southern ontario (approaching its third decade)
for very good reasons ... it is more fun than one should reasonably hope
for on a sunday ... you may shoot just about any gun you own ... the
scoring system is highly competitive and challenging for high performance
shooters (like me) but also through the magic of the lewis system
allows big winnings for more average shooters (like you) ... further details
below courtesy of Hillary Mackesy the Shoot Co-ordinator

PURPOSE 2) the forthcoming haha multigun match requires some intricate
scheduling and squadding efforts ... if last year's successful match is
any indication, you will want to get your squad requests in as early as
practical, hence this early warning ... further details even further
below courtesy Aaron Burns

Hello Shooters!

It's spring again and time to mark your calendars for the clay and pin
shoots we'll be running at the HAHA Club.

Clay Shoots - May 27th, July 22nd and September 30th
Pin Shoots - June 24th, August 19th and October 28th

Our first "Super Clay Shoot" is fast approaching. For those of you
that
have not yet attended, it's wide-open fun competition – how fast can
you
shoot five hanging clays clean off their wires from eight yards?

The shoots are handgun (centerfire and rimfire), shotgun (semi and
other),
and rimfire rifle (you’ll see a lot of 10/22s!). That last piece of
clay may
drive you to drink (after the shooting)!

Compensators, brakes, red-dots, ghost rings, lasers, or plain-old notch
and
post – it’s all allowed. “Run what you brung”.

Registration/shooting opens at 9:00am, last registration at 1:00pm.
Shooting
finishes at 3:00pm. No squadding - just show up and register. These
matches
are open to non-members so feel free to forward this e-mail around,
more
shooters=more excitement for the leader board.

Your first $10 gets you entry for the day and a clay set – three
timed runs
at five clays. Each additional $5 gets you another set. You can keep
trying
with one gun – as many sets as you pay for – or bring all your guns
and get
a set for each of them. Prizing will be similar to last year.
Scoring on each set is the total time of your three runs. Maximum time
per
run is 60 seconds. Lewis scoring means that almost everyone has a
chance for
a 1st-place finish. If you do multiple sets in one class, your best set
counts.

The club has a great kitchen, so plan on staying for lunch. Address is
1317
Alberton Rd, Alberton, Ontario. The club is clearly marked, and a map
is
available on the homepage of the website. Check us out at:
http://www.hahaclub.ca/handgun.htm We go rain or shine – and we’ve
ordered
sunny and mild for your shooting pleasure.

Per the link, we are running a four-gun shoot at the HAHA on
June 16 (Saturday).

http://odplonline.org/flyers/061607hahaMultigun.pdf

You can shoot three-gun-only if you don't have a precision rifle, or
just precision - but bring all four to maximize your entertainment!

Please respond with your squad requests ASAP. I need to know what
squad(s) you prefer and whether you're shooting precision or not.
Squads and times as per the attachment. Please read the whole
thing.

FYI, squad 2bravo is already booked by range officers - everything
else is still open.
