With the redesign of the IPSC website a few pages that used to list the upcoming courses is no longer updated and the new page only lists up to May 5th.

Anyone got the inside scoop for any courses in the Southwestern Ontario area?

+1 on this.

It seems the only way to find this out is to email in which doesn't really seem like an effective method of communication as they will be answering the same question over and over.

Check with your gun clubs as well to see if they host courses - if your club is IPSC affiliated talking with your IPSC Club Rep is a good place to start as well.

Hi can anyone tell me what you need to take the Black badge course and what do you have to do to pass ? thank you Daniel

Equipment:
- 9mm or larger caliber handgun (usually 9mm Para, .357 Sig, 38 Super, .40 S&W, 45 ACP, etcetera)
- 4 to 6 magazines to fit the caliber and model of handgun
- Belt to accommodate the holster and spare magazine pouches
- Holster that is worn on the belt, no drop leg holsters allowed (Serpa style holsters are prohibited)
- Spare magazine pouches, preferably open topped (no snaps) to carry the spare magazines
- 600 rounds ammunition (minimum) to get through both days of shooting
- Eye and ear protection
- Good boots or track shoes for uneven terrain and/or wet conditions
- Hat to keep off sun and block spent brass from hitting you in the eye
- Water or other non-alcoholic beverages to last the day
- Lunch as we take lunch at the range so we can continue with the course
- Sun screen
- Bug repellent
- Chair (to sit down between exercises, optional)

In order to pass: be safe....be safe....be safer than safe :)

The Crumlin one is now full.

If anyone wants a BB course the sure fire way to get into one would be to organize one for your home club. Many courses are filled up with locals before they even get to open.

I know there is one starting at Sharon this weekend. No idea if there are any spots left (doubt it).

There are slots open. The instructor may request a quick qualification shoot (20 rounds on 12x12 paper at 25 yards).

If anyone is interested, PM me and I will send you the email of the course instructor.

At the very start (Ontario at least), you need to show proficiency by getting all 10rnds into roughly 8.5x11 size target at 20yrds. One instructor I know requires you to shoot all 10rnds in DA mode if you have a DA/SA pistol.
