UPDATE #34 what would cause that much damage to a S&W Revolver

I got back Today
Took 3 months, He replaced the Cylinder Stop , Bolt and Extractor
I noticed the trigger is no as nice as it used to be.
I will need to try it to make sure the recoil dosent screw the timing up
I think what is the Extrator for but I have no clue why he replaced the other 2 parts. I dont even know what they are for

Parts in picture:

Extractor - from your cylinder
Cylinder stop - that little round thingy that sticks up out of the frame to stop the cylinder in the correct timing
Bolt - that thing that your cylinder release thumb piece is screwed to. Keeps the cylinder locked and lined up with the barrel's forcing cone.

I don't mean to rag on the fellows that are the factory certified gunsmiths for S&W as they are probably working themselves overtime as it is.My problem is that it can take over a year to get your gun back.Nobody would put up with this kind of crap if it was your car or computer that took that long to fix.It appears that there's plenty of work to go around so why not more factory repair stations in Canada?

I worked for a large gun whole sale company as the gunsmith doing warranty on all of the models made in the US and I can tell you that one of the biggest killers of warranty stations is -insurance companies. What is required is a lot of insurance to do warranty work. This is a requirement by all of the manufacturers. My cost back in 96 was 10 thousand per year.I was told the risk was very high in this industry!?
