Besides "short supply", "manufacturing delays", and "soaring popularity", does anybody have any info on why this rifle is SO HARD to find!? Closest I came was a store on the west coat taking $500 deposits for pre-order with no guarantee for delivery date.

Lots of them in america. Do i search and find the thread i did on when i imported my marlin 1895. It will cost you a few hundred extra, but you'll have it a lot sooner.

I was lucky enough to get a ruger made marlin trapper. The fit and finish is amazing; pure joy to shoot and hold. Keep an eye out. They do pop up for sale every now and again.

I sold a 2018 model 2 weeks ago for $1200, there was practically zero interest in it, and there's always one or two for sale on the gun selling sites for 1500 to 2200.

Because nobody wants the Remington made serials lol
There's no difference in the later years of production, the machining, and fit/finish were all corrected.
Remington is an excellent gun maker but when they took over Marlin production the equipment they got was trash, closing in on 2020 everything was back to Remington high quality

Whenever I've bought a Marlin in the last 20-30 years ago, I always did some polishing to smooth them up.
The TBSL that I have from towards the last few years of Remington production is one of the smoothest and I haven't done anything on it.

Serial numbers starting at mid 2017 and newer are terrific guns, wood fits properly, no machining marks, no gritty rough actions or triggers, no sharp rough edges.
They are just like JM stamped Guide Guns.

Undervalued gems

Wonksy you can lol all you want, but I have a I’m stamped sbl,a newer Remington 2019 and a new ruger sbl .The Remington has the Wild West guns trigger happy kit in it and shoots tighter groups than my other ones .and better than any 45/70 I’ve ever shot with handloads.

It’s a very nice rifle no foment issues either.
