Don’t quote me but I don’t believe the others sets have been produced yet! I think his plan is to sell out of the first set(whitetail/coyote) and then make the next set and so on. The price of the materials and labour of cutting and welding really adds up. Especially in big quantities. They’re awesome targets that are way more interesting than just round steel gongs

Beautiful work. I see all but one set is out of stock. Do you plan on refilling stock or is this once it's gone, it's gone?

Longstud has it right - if/when our first set sells out my daughter and I will make additional sets. Our plan is slightly modified though; even though it was the most economical use of material with the least amount of waste, it was a mistake to make only the buck and coyote. If we get to a point where we do a second run, it will be of a lesser number of 6 different critters.

Best,

Brobee

I painted the whitetail buck with three colours to make it as realistic but easy to touch up once the shootin takes its toll. The coyote I painted flat black with some light brown overlaid to make it look sinister. They’re awesome and I’m gonna shoot them today. Can’t wait till the next set becomes available.

I would LOVE to see a pic of your paint job, especially the sinister coyote! Feel a bit bad though, as after it gets shot up a bunch it will have a good white-ish lead hue to it...;)

A suggestion for waste would be to offer just the circular kill zone in different thicknesses so guys can tune their targets to different ammos. Some like to shoot the quiets while the PRS and target guys are shooting sub sonic and the hunters tend to use the faster 1200fps and beyond. You could also sell just the round parts in different sizes for a KYL rack! Could be a good use of scrap and more cash in pocket. I will also take a set of whatever you make next. If you produce six that’s great, SOLD

Well I set them up yesterday afternoon and shot them. I set the coyote at 50 yds and the whitetail at 75 and then 100yds. They worked flawless! Nice buying something today that actually exceeds your expectations. I’m hard to please and I couldn’t be happier. My wife said I was like a kid at Christmas I was so pumped. I shot them with SK Long Range Match ammo. Going to stretch the range to see if I can get to 125 or farther and still function. Only thing I can see as a problem is ammo consumption. I shoot enough as it is but now it’s gonna be worse with these targets. Buy these and you will not be disappointed. I want the next ones to be produced and I want them now!!! Moose, bears, cougar, elk and Muley please

I am thrilled to read you have experienced your set from behind your rifle and that you liked them! I'm also excited they're going to make a debut at your Outlaw rimfire gathering, will be curious to learn about whatever specifics you can share about their deployment (ie: distance they were set up at, position mandated for competitors), how you handled a hit vs a reset in the scoring world, what the general level of success was for competitors, and what they thought?

Moose, bears,cougar,elk and Muley please

I had a look today at trying to fit 8 sets of the 6 critters you mention above in the two 60"x96" sheets of 1/4" AR400 I would order for the next run but just could not get them to fit. In order to do so, I would need to decrease the number of sets from 8 down to 7 or maybe even 6 which would drive up the per-unit cost considerably.

I even tried changing out the bull moose for a cow, and the mule deer buck for a doe, but they are all unfortunately somewhat on the larger size. If I get brave and think about a 3rd run, I can fit the 8 sets of the remainder of the series on four sheets and even have enough room to add a bonus boar in the last run...I'll send you a pic via PM to show you what I'm babbling about as I get confused reading what I just wrote!

Still hopeful for a pic of your paint job...:)

Cheers!

Well these targets are so awesome I ordered another set. I managed too bother the poor guy enough that he was kind enough to send me a set of his prototypes. I can now hold my first fall 3D style Rimfire match where it will be lifelike hunting situations. There will be different stations with multiple target presentations at each station. There will be some stations in a field while the remainder will be in the woods. You will be required to carry all of your gear thats needed for the shoot. There will be multiple scoring options on the targets, so some thought will be required as to how to approach each station. EG, an impact will earn one point,an impact on the kill zone will earn two points but the kill zone will have to be hit and reset to earn additional points. If the reset is missed on the first attempt a loss of three points will occur. Only the first attempt will lose points or gain two for being reset on the first attempt. The stages will be timed and shots will be limited as in ORPS/CRPS. It will be called HERC, Hunters Extreme Rimfire Challenge and if it goes well there will be maybe a shoot for each season. Only standard old 22 rimfire will be permitted just like ORPS/CRPS. There will be a break around noon and a lunch will be provided, maybe Smoked prime rib roast on a bun with horseradish and cold salads. Barricades and props will all be things that are found in nature. No drums or ladders or chairs but naturally occuring items like boulders, dirt mounds fallen trees or whatever else is there like an old fence or maybe a rusted old car or piece of farm equiptment. WE WILL HAVE FUN

Yeah me received the other seven targets yesterday and painted all of them. So pretty im almost wanting to not shoot the hell out of em. These things are so realistic and fun to shoot it should be illegal HAHA. Going to bring them to the CRPS shoot in August and let the shooters have a go at them and see what theyre all about. Shot the whitetail in the big field behind the house and worked flawless out to 150 yds but the deer flies shut me down on further testing. If you guys want super durable fun targets thatll last a lifetime under normal use you need to check out these targets. I can send you pictures of what they look like if anybody wants to see them!!!

Oh, My, the fun we have had with these. I have 8 different ones and they get used a lot. shooting with wmr, hmr, .22 short, subsonic and regular hunting rounds. all of them test me in different ways and these targets are money well spent. I set them up with another family- our kids are all over 20 and they all like playing together. Thanks Jason.
