Stock looks to be a better quality, but for the other updates actually done to the rifle, it would most likely be cheaper to buy a heavy barrel for an existing rifle.
Anybody that has taken the BX trigger apart knows the only difference is the polishing on the BX and lighter trigger pull. Improvements that can be done at home using some elbow grease and a 8$ replacement spring.
The only benefit to a new buyer really is the iron sights, and the claim of owning the new version.
Don't get me wrong, I appreciate the changes, but id like to see them hit the shelves under 550 CAD.
Anything more and it just proves Ruger used the redesign to inflate their prices 25-30% like they did with the Ruger American series.
