Updated, My first Rifle build with pics, need some design input for next stock.

The stock is a v groove.....there is a recessed flat spot in the bottom, there isn't as much true contact between the stock and the action as one would like, but on the flip side.....that rifle as it sits has shot multiple 2.5 inch groups at 600 yards..........so something must be working right...
I have been requested for pics of the action area by PM from others so I will take a picture of the back of the tang area later and post the picture, when you see the air gap under the action you will scratch your head for sure........at one time I put spacers in there and just had the action on pillars with no other contact between the stock and the action.........this also worked equally the same.

Thank you for the pictures and description, sounds like it shoots pretty darn good as it is.
I'll be adding the option to widen the front of the stock and probably a short T slot as well, it does have room for tapped holes now, definitely want option to put a bi-pod.

I think for seating the action I'll probably end up milling the curved contour with 3axis on the cnc with a coarse enough step over to allow either a light skim bedding that will still give metal contact at the bottom and just a few thou to fill at the top, or a final hand scraping using blue for those familiar with the technique to get perfect metal to metal fit but I doubt anyone's really doing that now.

I've finally made a few updates to the stock, still got a few things to do but its getting closer and more comfortable. Added a detachable front piece to widen the stock to 2.5", when removed the 4 front screws also serve to attach a bi-pod with vertical adjustment(not yet made)

A quick thanks to Mystic Precison for the Protektor bags, One Shot tactical for the ergo grips and Hirsch Precision for the main rifle components.

First day trying to see how fast the book loads were doing, most were way too slow but best group was 4shot for .466" at 200yard. Will try more soon, starting to be a little more able to adjust my eye to looking through scopes and finding the right spot.
