Updates on T97

Even if it come from China, the events that took place in the US of A did shake the world structure, seeing one landing here in 2013 would be surprising... JP.

Canadian gov is all hugs and kisses with China these days. T97's making it here sooner than later would not surpirise me either.

The problem isn't them making it here!

The RCMP classification is the issue. They will drag their feet as long as possible and when they finally do look at it they will go over it with a fine tooth comb looking for any reason to prohibit it.

I honestly have my doubts it will ever be classified non restricted, and even if it did by the time that actually happens the Libs or NDP, or a coalition will have it named as a restricted by then.

... there are too many chicken little's on this forum.

The tavor and most recently the RFB are on sale here as non-res, I dont see there being a problem with a totally redesigned T97 made specifically for the canadian market. Granted I think this spring is a little too soon before we see them. Im hopeful for the summer.

What we really need is an update from north sylva regarding its progress. I hope China overnight fed-ex's it to the rcmp so the feet dragging can begin.

My guess is we'll get an update about the same time the rifles arrive. Everyone who might know is earily quiet.
