Upgrade charging handle for SR22

Hey Guys,

I want to replace the charging handle on my SR22, but I'm not sure which ones that are designed for a standard 10/22 stock fit on the SR22. Anyone have any ideas? I was probably looking at ordering from brownells as they have a number of different ones in stock, as well as the VQ extractor I want.

Also a question, do better aftermarket charging handles/recoil springs smoothen out the bolt movement? I am trying to get some better reliability out of my SR22 as I get a lot of FTF's and FTE's. However I think it has alot to do with the promag 25rd magazines too, but I'm just not sure how to modify the mags to make them more reliable.
 
I just recently picked up an SR-22 aswell. I'm putting in a big order from brownells for a bunch of parts including, vq bolt upgrade (firing pin+extractor), hammer, tacsol mag release, and superior concepts charging handle.

From what Ive seen any 10/22 charging handle will fit the SR-22 as the entire receiver is pretty much identical. Although, the SC charging handle requires some filing at the bolt side to fit. But most of them have the same rod and spring as the stock charging handle so it will not smoothen the bolt movement, I would just make sure the bolt area is properly lubed.

If you are looking for reliability/longevity I would recommend a Tuffer Buffer to replace your stock bolt stop.

Do you get FTF/E's with your stock 10rd mag? Or just your promag? Could just be your mag. My last time out I had no FTF/E's with my 10rd and only a few with my BC steel lips 25rd.
